Naruto: Preview of Next Week's Episode

Before the year ends, Cartoon Network will be airing back-to-back premieres of Naruto episodes, “Showdown: Gaara vs. Kimimaro!” and “Vengeful Strike! The Bracken Dance!” Set to air on Saturday, December 29, these episodes follow Naruto's chase after Sasuke and Gaara's attempt to take on Kimimaro.Read on to find out what's in store in the upcoming episodes of Naruto Prior to the upcoming episodes, Kimimaro activates the first level of his Cursed Seal in “The Beast Within” where he has an encounter with a drunken Lee, while the warriors get caught in a cornered state in “The Sand Shinobi: Allies of the Leaf.”
“Showdown: Gaara vs. Kimimaro!” finds Naruto continuing his pursuit of Sasuke as Gaara stops Lee from fighting Kimimaro and takes Kimimaro on himself. Kimimaro undervalues Gaara, who makes a trap which Kimimaro falls into. Although Gaara uses some of his best attacks, he still fails to take Kimimaro's life. Seeing that he is still alive, Kimimaro realizes that he still has a purpose to live for. He then activates his Cursed Seal Level 2 and assaults Gaara again.
More action unfolds in the subsequent episode “Vengeful Strike! The Bracken Dance!” where Kimimaro seems to have the advantage, but realizes that he's running out of time. Continuing with Kimimaro's Cursed Seal heading toward Gaara, Gaara tries to attack him with sand. In the midst of the brawl, Lee gets behind Kimimaro and attacks. Kimimaro attempts to kill Lee but Gaara protects Lee from Kimimaro's blow with sand and forms a giant shield. Meanwhile, Kabuto talks to Orochimaru as a flashback occurs of when Orochimaru first took Kimimaro.
